APPRECIATION VISITS TO WORKPLACES

The HRDC Board Chairperson, Ms Choice Pitso, Chief Operations Officer Mr Meshack J. Tafa, Director Funding Mr Mothusi Masole led a delegation from HRDC who undertook workplace visits in Lobatse and Jwaneng to appreciate the business operations of different workplaces.

The HRDC Team also comprised of Unit Representatives from the Department of Funding, Workplace Learning, Non Credit Bearing Short Courses (NCBSCs), Human Resource Development Planning- Demand and Stakeholder Relations.

We visited Flotek, Milk Africa, Lobatse Canvas and Debswana Jwaneng Mine. These visits provided an opportunity to engage with the Management of the Companies to understand their operations, to plan for their workplace learning, provide advice on utilising the Human Resource Development (HRD) Fund to provide training for their employees as well as to understand the unique skills needs of each business operation.

We remain committed to working closely with the industry to ensure we support their efforts in the area of skills development.
