HRDC AND BOPEU SIGN A COLLECTIVE LABOUR AGREEMENT

The Human Resource Development Council (HRDC) and Botswana Public Employees Union (BOPEU) signed a Collective Labour Agreement after HRDC agreed to recognise BOPEU as the sole collective bargaining agent of its members.

 

Therefore, this signals the beginning of a cordial relationship of which both Parties recognise the desirability of promoting and encouraging good working relations between HRDC and its employees. The signed CLA set forth those matters relating to the regulation of the relations between the Human Resource Development Council and the Union pertaining to the procedures for the negotiation and discussion of terms and conditions of employment, and the speedy and equitable settlement of disputes.
