Mr Meshack J. Tafa is the Chief Operations Officer (CEO) of the Botswana Human Resource Development Council (HRDC). His vast experience spans three decades across a number of sectors covering; education, mining, consulting, manufacturing, automotive, financial services, international civil service, financial regulation and project implementation. Across these industries, he has acquired exceptional knowledge in the areas of organisational design, strategy execution, organisational transformation, project management and general management. He has held a number of senior management positions at Debswana, Volvo-Swedish Motor Corporation, Botswana Life Insurance and the Southern African Customs Union (SACU) in Windhoek.
Among his business qualifications, Mr Tafa possesses Master of Business Administration (MBA) from De Montfort University, United Kingdom (UK), Advanced Diploma in Human Resources Development, Diploma in Marketing, Intermediate Certificate in Insurance, Certificate in Company Law. He is a Chartered Communications Practitioner, Balance Score Card Practitioner and a member in good standing of a number of professional bodies including the Institute of People Management (IPM) and Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa (PRISA).
He has attended a couple of professional development programmes and trained in Strategy Execution, Integrating Strategy, Budgeting & Reporting Programme with Wits University in South Africa and attended the African Development Bank training on Regional Project Management Implementation, among others.
