WELLNESS COMMITTEE COORDINATES TEAM BUILDING

‘‘Teamwork is the ability to work together towards a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments towards organisational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results,’’ says Andrew Carnegie

The ability of any Organisation to achieve its mandate relies on its team i.e. its Staff. Therefore, it is crucial for any Organisation to ensure its Team is working together in a productive manner. In recognition of the impact that effective teams can make on the delivery of its mandate, the Human Resource Development Council (HRDC) Wellness Committee organised a teambuilding day on 7th September 2018 at Camp Legakwe near Rasesa. Successful team players in the workplace are often genuinely committed towards achieving the objectives of the Organisation they work for, they are able to adapt to the changing demands of their work as well as being reliable and responsible.

Great team players also support and respect their colleagues, they are always willing to provide assistance and they also promote a transparent work environment. HRDC Staff was divided into four different teams to compete against each other in different activities such as running, tug of war as well as a karaoke.

The objective of the team exercises was to promote communication, creativity and working together to achieve a common goal. It was a day full of activities that culminated with the announcement of the winning team.
